Tired of receiving ties and socks for Fathers Day…
Year after year, I hear Dads around me grumbling about the gifts they received for Father’s Day. Although appreciative, Dads cant help but to feel a certain way when Moms are showered with lavish gifts for Mother’s Day and they are forced to settle with a new pair of socks or new grill tongs.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls…..
They aren’t with it this year!!!!!
These deserving Dads want lavish gifts as well; they want to be celebrated and treated like the Kings that they are!! Don’t throw tomatoes at me, I’m just the messenger… <Kanye Shrugs>
FACT: Dads are not the easiest to shop for. They say they dont want anything and that seeing you happy is the greatest gift of all; this is how they end up with yet another tie or grilling utensil.
REALITY: It’s time to trade in that tie you get him every year for some out-of-the-box gift ideas.
Father’s Day is right around the corner — it’s close enough that you should start putting some thought into it, but far enough that you still have time to figure out just how you’re going to surprise him. Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 17th this year and I’m here to help you find the perfect gift.
Shopping Tips
Budget
If you’re stumped on what to get your favorite guy for Father’s Day, remember that showing appreciation doesn’t have to break the bank. It really is the thought that counts. Be realistic and stay within your means, especially if you find yourself celebrating several exceptional men on this special day.
Type of Dad
What does your dad love? This is the type of question you need to be exploring. Is he a music buff? Consider getting him a pair of hip new headphones. Is he an avid runner or cyclist? He may very well enjoy a fitness tracker so that he can monitor his progress. Whatever it is, make sure you take his character into account while you shop.
Personalized
If you have ample time, consider a personalized gift to make it extra special. Whether it’s with an engraving or a monogram, personalizing a gift is a sure way to honor your father, and make him feel exclusive.
Last Minute
We get it. Life gets hectic, time flies and suddenly you’re left with no other choice than to get a last-minute gift. Luckily, there’s this thing called online shopping now and thanks to 1-day shipping and a little help on our part, there are still plenty of options out there for all of you last minute shoppers.
I recently surveyed men of all ages and Ive rounded up some gift ideas based on their responses:
The Grooming Lounge
The Grooming Lounge is the ultimate destination for upscale men’s grooming services and products. With locations in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, Grooming Lounge’s shops combine solution-oriented product offerings together with classic services including haircuts, hot lather shaves, business manicures, men’s skin care and more — all provided in an undeniably masculine setting.

Gas Gift Cards
Believe it or not, most men explained that receiving gift cards for gas would put a smile on their faces… Heck, receiving this would put a smile on my face too… LOL!!!

Man Crates
What man wouldn’t like a gift where they had to use their primal instincts to pry open the box to retrieve their man gift…

Lawn Services
The men have spoken and they have said, they want a day where they can sit down, put their feet up, pop open a cold beverage and watch someone else maintain the lawn!! Call your local lawn service and set up lawn services for your loved one. His back will thank you for it.

Dinner
Guess what Ladies, they may not want to admit it, but they like to get dressed up and taken out for dinner and watch as you pull out all stops for them. Treat him to his favorite restaurant, let him order whatever he wants and be his dessert afterwards… Maybe he will become a new father in 9 months after that…. I’m just sayin….
Car Detailing
Send him on his way with a fresh new detail. Men love riding clean!
Sporting Event Tickets
Summer is the perfect ticket for him to catch his favorite baseball team. Grab tickets for a home game and bring a few extra bucks so you can treat dad to a hot dog and popcorn.
