This year, Black History Month meant a lot to me. I felt so connected to my heritage and I just felt so proud to be BLACK. After seeing Black Panther (in all its GLORY) , anything I found that was in black, I felt like I had accomplished something great!! I was wearing black lipstick, looking for black ice cream (in fact, I found an ice cream parlor that sells black ice cream in New Jersey; def going there…), I even asked the store clerk in PetSmart if they sold black Beta fish for our new pet (he looked at me like I had two heads). Nonetheless, you can imagine how in awe I was when I found these babies shining in the flower aisle at Wegmans. Mini black Calla Lillies!!!! <swoon>?
Was it me or did you also feel extra connected to your heritage this month?
